Here’s how to get gold fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you’re struggling for cash, farming money is a sure-fire way to help you out.

You earn gold in Dragon’s Dogma 2 pretty easily. Completing quests, selling items, and wondering the world is going to pad your coin purse very quickly. Still, it’s all too easy to burn through gold while upgrading your equipment and buying new weapons.

How to get gold fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Getting gold quickly in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be done in a few different ways. While there’s no specific exploit or glitch for you to make use of, there’s quite a few in-game mechanics that you can play around with that will help you earn gold really fast.

For one, there are certain vendors who will buy items from you for a ludicrous price simply because those items are rare where they’re from.

You’re going to find heaped chests filled with gold scattered throughout the map, though while we recommend exploring as one of our Dragon’s Dogma 2 tips, it’s quite time consuming. Here’s what you do instead.

Vendor money exploit

In Melve, buy five grapes and apples from the vendor. There will be a bench right outside. Use it to pass to the next day, where the vendor will restock their wares. Buy five grapes and apples again, then sit through another day. Repeat once more, then head into the Inn to deposit all of the fruit.

You can store up to 100 of each item in storage, so you’re going to be able to do this quite a few times. After you’ve got everything you need, then take the oxcart to Vernworth, then head on over to the checkpoint rest town. You will need to find George, who is a beastren vendor. If he’s not there, you need to wait a few days for him to return from Bakbattahl.

Withdraw all of your fruit, and George will buy all of the fruit for a 10x mark-up. Ripened fruit sells for 350 gold each, so wait for them to ripen before you sell them.

You could end up earning 350,000 gold doing this each time, though it does take a little while.

Alternatively, you can forego using George entirely, though you’re going to need to leave a Portcrystal in Bakbattahl and head directly to the vendors there.

This exploit, like how we’d recommend levelling up fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2, is a fantastic way to become overpowered very early on. You’re going to have enough money to fast travel, oxcarts, weapons from vendors, expensive armor, equipment upgrades and property.

Pawn rift gold farm

Another method that you can use to farm gold, a lot more passive this time, is to send your Pawn into the rift.

  • Assign your Pawn a quest to slay an ogre, chimera, cyclops, or anything similar.
  • Set the reward request to 10,000 Gold, which you will need to invest
  • Go to the closest Riftstone and summon a Pawn with a similar reward, 10K Gold and to kill a giant monster
  • Complete the Pawn request, and you will receive 20K from the two pawns you’ve completed quests for
  • Repeat the process of summoning Pawns and completing their quests
  • Meanwhile, multiple people can complete your own Pawn request

This is not as fast as the fruit-flipping exploit, though you’re also going to earn a lot more XP, monster drops, and it’s a little bit more fun too. If you’re unsure about how to hire a pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2, it’s as simple as heading over to Riftstone and footing the cost.

Beware, though. Hiring so many different Pawns, alongside sending your own out into the Rift often will increase the chances of Dragonsplague spreading throughout your game world. If that does happen, check out how to complete all of the Sphinx riddles in Dragon’s Dogma 2, from which you will be awarded 100,000 gold, alongside the Eternal Wakestone, which is a huge help if your NPC murders everyone in town.

That’s as much as we have on how to farm gold in Dragon’s Dogma 2. For more exploits like our money farm ideas, you might consider taking a look at how to unlock the Mystic Spearhand vocation, which is yet another route to becoming utterly overpowered in Capcom’s latest RPG.
