The EA Sports FC 24 best teams have been confirmed, and there are some surprises at the top! The best teams on paper are not always the best teams to use in the game. For example, clubs with great players may lack pace, and therefore be more difficult to use in-game despite being rated so highly.

With the FC 24 release date now upon us, the full FC 24 ratings have been revealed. The official reveals did not include official team ratings, but we now know which sides feature as the best in the game. Making sure these teams are set up correctly is crucial too. We have spent hours in the game already, so take a look at our FC 24 best formations and custom tactics guide.

Take a look at the best teams to use in FC 24 Career Mode and Kick Off below.

FC 24 Best Teams

The easy way to rank the teams in FC 24 is by looking at the ratings. This doesn’t give you the full picture, but it’s a very good indicator of which teams to use, and which to avoid.

Manchester City are streaks ahead when it comes to club ratings this season. After winning the treble, who can question their place at the pinnacle of the game? Erling Haaland has seen an upgrade along with several of their defenders. This sees their overall team rating reach 85 OVR.

Despite Kylian Mbappe remaining a PSG player, PSG have dropped out of the best rated teams in FC 24. With Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, and Gianluigi Donnarumma all among the best players in the game, PSG still possess an all-star squad that was mighty effective in FIFA 23.

Behind City in the club will be Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. Los Blancos have seen their attack rating dip having lost Karim Benzema to the riches of Saudi Arabia, but Barca have seen an upgrade on their youthful La Liga champions. Arsenal’s young guns have also been awarded a big boost, although it’s not quite enough to crack the top 10 teams.

On the international scene, Mbappe’s France have been pipped by England. The depth of French talent is astonishing right now, and they will be a fan favourite team to use in FC 24. Gareth Southgate’s England boasts some of the Premier League’s best players, and Jude Bellingham, at their disposal.

Best teams for Kick-Off mode

Whether you are playing Kick-Off mode, Online Friendlies, or Online Seasons, these teams will be the ones to use. Pace has been such a key feature in the past few editions of FIFA, but the new FC 24 PlayStyles have shot ahead in the key factors to look for.

Speed is still an important weapon on the pitch, but now players like Kevin De Bruyne and Luka Modric can shine too. Balance is the key, and you need to know your own strengths too.

PSG (83 OVR)

Whoever Mbappe is playing for will be among the most popular teams in FC 24. The French striker was almost unstoppable in FIFA 23, and that has continued into the new game.

Despite dropping out of the top 10 rated teams, the Paris Saint-Germain front three is terrifying. The pace on show is incredible. Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Randal Kolo-Muani make up one of the best front threes available to use in the game.

Throw in rapid full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes, a top-class goalkeeper in Donnarumma, and Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos, and this is a great team.

You do have a choice to make at centre-back though. Presnel Kimpembe has the Block PlayStyle+, making him excellent in the game. You can switch his for Milan Skriniar, or revert to a back five and sacrifice one of the midfielders. Your call.

Real Madrid (85 OVR)

Vinicius Jr will play a major role in FC 24 Ultimate Team. His blistering pace and five-star skill moves make him one of the best wingers in the game.

Add the athleticism and class of Jude Bellingham, Fedrico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni to the existing quality of Luke Modric, and we are looking at a truly great midfield.

Real Madrid also boast a pacey back line too. Ferland Mendy has long since been one of the best meta players around, while Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger are elite CBs.

Man City (85 OVR)

We could have picked France as our third choice, but we had to factor in Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker is a monster in FC 24 after an incredible first season under Pep Guardiola.

Kyle Walker is the most effective right-back in the game once more, and with a world class defence backing up Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva, City are incredible.

A lack of pace on the wings is a concern. However, Foden and Grealish both possess useful dribbling PlayStyles, making them more effective than in previous years. If you do need an injection of pace, you do have Jeremy Doku on the bench.

Best Career Mode teams

Judging which teams will be best to use in FC 24 Career Mode is a little bit trickier. Ratings aren’t the final say when choosing a team as your team can develop quickly.

Whether you want a long-term project, a club to rebuild, or to produce top-class young players, there are options everywhere. Ajax are a club with a great tradition of producing quality footballers, so that is always an option.

There are several teams with exciting young squads that are fun to use, so here is our top three.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has put together a brilliant young side that nearly toppled Man City last season. Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Jurrien Timber have arrived this summer, and all three players are 24 years old or younger.

The potential of this squad is incredible too with Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba, and Gabriel Martinelli all set to be stars of the future.

Your starting budget of around £120 million is more than enough to improve the squad too. With Brand Exposure a key objective, you will likely need to sign a crucial first team player in a specific position.

RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig is one of several Red Bull clubs across the world. The German side may not be the most popular among fans in the Bundesliga, but their recruitment policy is flawless.

The arrival of young forwards Lois Openda and Benjamin Sesko will provide them with great firepower, and if you can turn Xavi Simons’ loan into a permanent deal you will be on to a winner.

With a hefty transfer budget and loose financial objectives, you can turn RB Leipzig into a European powerhouse. The board will expect success sooner rather than later, but you should have no trouble with the current squad.

Wrexham

Wrexham is now firmly on the footballing map thanks to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. In FC 24, you can continue their journey through the Football League.

With super striker Paul Mullin up top, League Two will be just the start as you strive to reach the footballing elite. They have a very reasonable budget for League Two, so there is no excuse for failure.

Unfortunately, your story won’t be documented on Disney, but taking over at Wrexham can become the fairy tale story you deserve.
