Wired Productions and LKA have dropped a new behind the scenes trailer for their upcoming psychological thriller, Martha is Dead.

The featurette features the game’s creative director Luca Dalco speaking on creating the project and the lessons the LKA team learned from previous game The Town of Light. “From the first concepts, we knew we wanted to push boundaries and deliver an immersion through detail and realism. It’s not easy, there are often comprises to make in scenes, but I’m so proud of what my team have been able to deliver.”

Martha is Dead is a first person thriller, set towards the latter days of the Second World War in Italy in 1944. The body of the daughter of a German soldier – the titular Martha – is found drowned. Subsequently, it falls to her twin sister Giulia to solve Martha’s murder while dealing with the trauma of her loss.

The game leans heavily into its Italian setting. This includes using Italian as the default language for dialogue and text. In the meantime, you’ll explore the Tuscany countryside in a historical context inspired by real events.
