Capcom has released a new trailer for The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles as well as detailing some more of the game’s ‘new’ features in the Nintendo Switch compilation out next month.

We’re using the word ‘new’ liberally here, as the games have never actually released in the West before. Regardless, localisation director Janet Hsu goes through some of these features on the Capcom Unity blog post, including the ability to select your game and episode freely from the off.

One of the main new features are the Escapades – these are eight “slice-of-life” mini stories that are linked to, but not directly part of, the main story. However, Capcom do advise you save playing these until after completing the first game as they do also contain minor spoilers for The Great Ace Attorney Adventures.

Touch screen and normal controls are both supported on the Nintendo Switch, and the PC version includes 4K monitor support. Finally, the game will also includes a new Story Mode that will play the game automatically for you for those who want to enjoy the game’s story as an interactive novel.

You can check out the trailer for yourself below. Last week, Capcom introduced us to the new Dance of Deduction and Summation Examination mechanics that will see hero Ryunosuke Naruhodo try to argue his case against a jury.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC  on July 27.
