In Starfield, the player's various pieces of equipment can be customized to improve their effectiveness in various ways. To do so, they will need to find a Spacesuit Workbench and amass enough resources to craft equipment mods.
Starfield equipment mod types
There are three different types of equipment mods, for each of the major types of equipment: spacesuits, helmets, and packs. Investing in the Spacesuit Engineering skill will unlock new crafting recipes to research.
