In Starfield, Payloads is a skill in the Tech category. By levelling up this skill, players can expand their ship's cargo hold. As an Advanced-tier skill, players will need to invest 4 skill points in Tech skills before it can be unlocked. Later ranks are locked behind challenges.
Payloads skill ranks

| Rank 3 | Ship cargo holds have 30% more capacity. | Make 50 grav jumps with 75% or more of maximum cargo capacity. |
