Spacers are recognized as delinquents that function in disparate factions scattered across the Settled Systems.

Overview

Defined as marauders and felons, Spacers typically associate in smaller, independent clusters. Their organization level falls below that of the Crimson Fleet, with a tendency to scavenge and occupy deserted sites rather than indulging in overt raids. Despite their inherent hostility towards outsiders, they do not consistently initiate confrontations upon encounter.

Morality

Spacers encompass a wide spectrum of individuals in the Settled Systems, each possessing unique moral compasses. However, as emphasized by Emil Pagliarulo, Bethesda’s Design Director for Starfield, a significant segment of them are noted for their aggressive behavior.

Characteristics

There's a clear distinction among Spacers. While some maintain neutrality or even show benevolence, a notable subset is notoriously violent. These aggressive Spacers not only pose threats to others but might also be involved in illicit activities, such as consuming the drug Aurora, potentially fueling their violent tendencies. The term "Spacers" likely encapsulates various individuals and smaller groups rather than a unified faction. As players navigate the Settled Systems, they might encounter Spacers as adversaries, while others might simply be non-player characters (NPCs) they can interact with.
