In Starfield, Starship Design is a skill in the Tech category. By levelling up this skill, players will be able to install better ship modules. As an Expert-tier skill, players will need to invest 8 skill points in Tech skills before it can be unlocked. Later ranks are locked behind challenges.
Starship Design skill ranks
